Mental health is a balanced development of an individual’s personality and emotional attitude which enables him or her to live harmoniously with their fellow partners. Although there is no specific definition available for mental health, it is basically your attitude and approach towards life and various situations. Psychological, physiological, genetic, and environmental factors have a profound effect on overall mental development.

A mental illness impacts your ability to perform routine tasks, disturbed relationships, and cope with anger and stress. The mental health of different individuals is classified on the basis of extreme mood swings, irritating or destructive thought patterns, and behavioral problems.

The mental health of a child is much more vital than that of his physical health. Mental fitness is more constructive for a person and also helps him to strengthen himself physically, socially, and morally. Mental health is said to be the health of one’s character or behavior and as a whole, it serves your mental functioning.

The 2 factors which lower the growth of mental health are the feeling of insecurity and inferiority. It makes the person unskilled, nervous, timorous, and uncreative. A mentally unhealthy person also loses his self-confidence and self initiatively.

This feeling of inferio­rity and insecurity causes frustration and a sense of unworthiness. This feeling is highly dangerous and results in causing defensive reactions. An unhealthy mental has a huge impact on every aspect of your life. Peace of mind is a natural condition and is available to each and every individual. The various aspects of life that may be affected due to unhealthy mental conditions may include Self-image, Education, Relationships, sleeping disorders, Eating, and Physical health.

Having good mental health strengths and supports our ability to have a healthy relationship, helps us make better lifestyle choices, allows us to maintain better physical health and well-being; helps us to handle various ups and downs of life;  and helps us to discover and grow towards or potential.

Having an excellent mental health is not a struggle, nor an extraordinary achievement.
